one day with you.

I never imagined I'd spend a Friday outside during the school year, instead of actually being in school:) I've got it so easy! Boy, am I one lucky gal to be saying that!

it's cooling down.

This is the engagement ring my father gave my mother when he asked her to marry him. Sadly, they are no longer together. But, it was a gift to me when I turned 16. I think it's beautiful! We had a cold front where I live, and it has made the weather so nice! I took the opportunity too take some pictures since it's not so hot. Unfortunately, the 90/100 degree weather comes back next week:( I have to say school is much easier now than it has ever been before. But, I'm trying to stay tuned into good study habits, just in case things get a little bit harder along the way.

skylines and skyscrapers

Downtown Nashville is so pretty. Even on a drizzly day like today.

It's a sister thing.

It's hard to believe these pictures were taken over 10 years ago of my sisters and me. They are technically my "step-sisters," but who cares, I love them either way!  Brittani (right) is a year older than me, and is going to college this year! I looked up to her, she was my role model, everything I wanted to be when I was a year older, and she still is. It's so hard to believe that time has gone so fast, it seems like yesterday we were still 4 years old, and running around the house naked. Bridget (left) is my age, and like me, will be finishing her senior year in high school. She was my partner in crime, we shared the same room, and Brittani had her own room next to ours. We would stay up real late and make as many loud noises as we could just to annoy her. We used to get in so much trouble together.

bakeries and pepsi

So, today was the first day of school. It was only a half-a-day, and it went really well. Afterwords, I went to Silke's Bakery for lunch...yumm:) I'm glad it's my senior year, but I think I'm ready to graduate and move on into the next era of my life. Applying for colleges is going to be so much stress, especially with all the paperwork that has to be filled out and turned in before deadlines. I'd like to skip this part, and move to the part where I've already been accepted into the college I'd like to go to. But, unfortunately, I have to endure the paperwork and the long wait for an acceptance letter from that college. Oh, senior year!

the pottery place.

So, a few weeks ago my mother and I went to a place called The Pottery Place, and met up with a friend and her boyfriend. It's wonderful arts and crafts store where you paint your own pottery, make your own glass jewelry, or mosaics. I chose a cute little English bulldog piggy bank, and my mother chose a sushi dish, which she painted so well! Afterwords, they glaze it, then you go pick it up a few weeks later. We just went and picked them up. I love my piggy bank!

I don't know about you, but I love starting my morning off with some hot tea and a delicious breakfast!

I am in love with my new watch! But, I actually think  I love the box it came in more! My vacation marked the last summer I will be in high school. I'm sad summer is coming to an end, I start school soon, which means less time for reading. :/ Have a lovely day!
