Christmas is coming!

I can't believe Thanksgiving is already over! It feels like a week ago I was just entering into my senior year. And, now it's already HALF way over! My goodness!   I love Indian food, and the naan is to die for!

pasts with new beginnings

I've never met my great-grandfather, Clyde. But, I've heard marvelous stories of him dancing with my great-grandmother in the living room to Elvis Presley! It's hard to believe she has lived more than forty years without him now. My great-grandmother is in her eighty's, and it never ceases to amaze me how strong of a woman she is.

my. my. my.

Pastel: The Elegant Elephant Charcoal: A Boy After a long wait, I finally got some copies of some old artwork from my art teacher I did when I was a junior. I want to just say THANK YOU! to all your sweet comments and support with my art. I never imagined my prints could be so popular.

there's just more to it

Yesterday marked the end of my first week at my new job. I have to say, I really like it! I am an office assistant for an attorney. I closes cases, scan new cases into the computer, and process documents. I spend a lot of my time alone in my own little office space. The three assistants before me didn't seem to like that too much, but I quite enjoy the quiet. I'm not really good with in person conversations, mainly because I don't know what to say or what to do. The people I work with are sweet, too. So, that's a plus:)

oh what a day, what a day! I started my new job yesterday, and today...I got sick at my new job. Talk about embarrassing. oh well. I did surprisingly manage to hold my stomach until I got home though. yuckk, I hate throwing up. While I'm at home miserable and lying in bed, I'm smelling my pumpkin spice candle. It gets me ready for the holidays- family, friends, food, great smells, the lights, Christmas trees, and presents. Oh, how I love the holidays! As I've gotten older, my appreciation for things have grown a ton! But, I always find I need give thanks more often than not. I am thankful for: 1. A loving mother who has worked hard to provide things that she went without as child. She has shown me things that matter in life- never give up no matter how tough it gets, give it your all, and love hard. 2. A new job that pays well. I work with nice people and in a nice environment.  3. The family time when the holiday season rolls around.
