.......................... Daniel's family is completely in love with their new daughter/grand-baby/niece. I am, too. Only a little...okay, A LOT. Ashley

have yourself a cold drink.

.......................... Our local coffee shop (which happens to be next door to Ashley's office) makes an Italian Soda to which we are completely addicted! There's not much to it; it's just seltzer water and flavored syrup, but it makes a perfect summer refreshment, and is only slightly sweet. We certainly hope your summer is everything you hoped for. routines.

.......................... If you've been reading for very long, you'll know that we're definitely big breakfast people here, and it's a common part of our everyday routine to get up early and go eat a good big breakfast. A lot of people don't like doing the same things all the time, and while it's true that Miss Ashley and I like to try new things and be adventurous, we also love sticking to our routine. It's nice to have your baristas know your name, and know what you want to order. It's ever so nice to fill your life with people and routines that you can depend on. So even if you're a rolling stone, why don't you try a little consistency, every now and then? It's good for the soul, you know. Daniel

Happy Fourth of July!

.......................... We celebrated our fourth by welcoming the rain that we desperately needed! Oh, and we had BBQ, flag cake and time with family. We hope you had a great Independence Day!  Daniel and Ashley

major change.

Image
.......................... After a whole year of being a chemistry major, I have grown less and less excited about being a chemist, and have grown more and more interested in my mathematics courses. So, after lots of consideration, I've decided to change my major to math! One of the big reasons I'm able to make this decision is because of Miss Ashley's support, and her willingness to accept that I might have to spend an extra semester in school. I'm awful grateful that she's willing to stick with me through any sort of change-up, and that she's always such a good sport! Life is so much better when you have the right person with whom to share it. Daniel
